Travelling from the UK to Hibou

BY CAR The drive from any of the Channel ports can be accomplished within a day. Calais, for instance, is the longest drive at 600 miles but often the easiest.

BY AIR Alternatively, you can fly and hire a car. Toulouse airport is just over an hour's drive, whilst Bordeaux is an hour and a half. British Airways and Easyjet operate services to these airports. Ryanair flies to Bergerac (about an hour's drive) and Carcasonne (about two hour's drive).

BY TRAIN Possibly the most pleasant way to arrive, take a TGV to Agen Station - about a 20 minute drive from Hibou.

Near to Hibou

AGEN An easy drive of about 20 minutes takes you to Agen, the county town of the region. Agen has an extensive range of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and museums plus a theatre.

TOULOUSE AND BORDEAUX are an hour and a quarter and an hour and a half's drive respectively. Both offer all the excellent amenites of large French cities and a day out to either is an easy and interesting excursion. There is a very good train service from Agen to both cities.

THE SEA A couple of hour's drive west will get you to the Atlantic at Arcachon, a resort with a lovely bay and excellent sea food restaurants. A little longer driving east will get you to the Mediterranean.
